At St. Bede' Catholic College we support a number of charities.
AquAid
Through our partnership with AquAid for every water cooler and bottle of water we purchase a donation is made on our behalf to The Africa Trust. These funds are used to directly build fresh drinking water wells in areas in Africa where it is needed the most, like in schools and villages.
St. Bede's has been selected to aid a project which involves installing additional water wells - Elephant Pumps in Africa.
Breast Cancer Awareness
In October, students and staff 'Wear it Pink' to raise money for Breast Cancer. In 2022, we raised a total of £628.16
Diocese Schools Project
St. Bede's is committed to working alongside Clifton Diocese and their family of schools to promote environmental and social justice. Working alongside the International Tree Foundation and the Masaka and District Land Care Chapter, students will raise funds to provide independent water resources for 23 schools.
St. Peter's Hospice
We were delighted with the efforts of Bell Burnell House in their most recent fundraising venture 'Around the World in 8 days.' Mr Johnson and students from Bell Burnell raised an incredible £4,100 completing either a 1km run over eight days, 1km a day for eight days, or 1000 reps of an activity of their choice - either as individuals, or as teams. St. Peter's Hospice were so impressed, they have featured St. Bede's Catholic College in their 2022-2023 Fundraising Pack for Schools!
World Wildlife Fund
At the beginning of this academic year, students cast their vote to decide our college charity. We are pleased to announce that this year St. Bede's will be supporting the World Wildlife Fund.
