At St. Bede’s Catholic College, the safety and well-being of our children is of the utmost importance.
We provide a systematic means of monitoring children known or thought to be at risk of harm, and ensure that we contribute to the assessment and provision of appropriate support packages. We have a structured approach to safeguarding which is followed by all members of the college community.
A copy of our policy is available below.
As part of our commitment to safeguarding our children, we have a responsibility to ‘actively promote’ the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.

There is no place for extremist views of any kind at St. Bede’s Catholic College. Extremists of all persuasions aim to develop destructive relationships between different communities by promoting division, fear and mistrust of others based on ignorance or prejudice. Our duty is to equip young people with the knowledge, skills and critical thinking, to challenge and debate in an informed way.
