At the end of January, we held our annual launch conference of Cambridge University’s HE+ programme for the Bristol hub of schools, with over 160 students from the area attending.
The morning included an introduction to the scheme, encouraging the students to engage with the lectures and tutorials on offer to support their application to prestigious universities, and ended with a task designed to challenge their creative and critical thinking.
The Bristol hub has welcomed three new schools this year, becoming one of the most successful hubs in the country. The Vice-Chancellor of Cambridge with responsibility for overseeing wider participation programmes will be visiting St Bede’s in March to discuss our programme and how best to support young people in their quest for an outstanding education.
